iPad – introduction to features

Hello Mac-Seniors,

I am so excited to share the first video that was created for Mac-Senior University.  It will be posted to the new Mac-Senior University site as soon as it’s up and running.  I want to thank the Apple volunteers that helped me make it happen as I couldn’t have done it without them .  I learned so much from their guidance.

For now, I’m concentrating on the basics because I believe there are many Seniors out there who have iPads sitting in a drawer.  Most got it as a gift and when they couldn’t figure out how to turn it on and there was no “manual” inclosed in the packaging, they decided it was over their head and they put it back in the box and put it out of sight.  I believe Apple knew that manuals get lost or thrown away and that’s why they created manuals that could be put right on the device, where it would always be available to you, the Owner.   I’ll be showing you how to access that feature when we look at “iBooks”.  I have so much to share with you and I’m so excited to do it.  I welcome feedback about what you would like to see in the future.

I hope your August has been wonderful.  Mine sure has been,

Sharon
